Register Today: Construction Camp for Girls
The Richmond Chapter of NAWIC (National Association of Women in Construction) is offering a free, week-long day camp for girls going into the 7th, 8th, and 9th grade who may have an interest in construction. The week is jam packed with hands-on lessons and activities hosted by industry professionals from the area. We'll be tackling carpentry, electrical, HVAC/plumbing, finishes, and heavy equipment as well as facilitating engaging conversations with women in various roles within the industry. WHEN: Monday, July 15-Friday, July 19 from 8 a.m.-5 p.m. WHERE: James River Air (1905 Westmoreland St., Richmond, VA 23230) WHO: Girls entering 7th, 8th, or 9th grade HOW: Register now at nawicrichmond.org/campnawic Participation is free and registration will fill up quickly! No construction experience is required—just a willingness to participate and get your hands dirty! All supplies will be provided and lunch is included with your registration. Youth Cheer Camp: Register Today!
The New Kent High School cheer team will be hosting a cheer camp for rising third-eighth grade aspiring cheerleaders. This will be a high-energy and unforgettable experience! NKHS Cheer Camp will be held Wednesday, July 24th, and Thursday, July 25th, from 6:00 p.m.-8:30 p.m. in the New Kent High School gym. This camp is a fundraiser for the NKHS cheer team. The cost is: $50 per cheerleader before June 30th $60 per cheerleader after June 30th Payments can be made online or with cash or check $45 if two or more related campers are registered.
